Buttonwood Communications has been installing residential networks and wifi systems for over a decade. In fact, we are just now being asked to upgrade some of our original projects. That’s because we design our systems to last.

Today’s homes demand a lot from your network. Every member of the family has multiple connected devices, and on top of that we have streaming media, smart devices, and now work-from-home communication.

Most people use the network equipment given to them by their cable provider for free. This equipment is one-size-fits-all, designed to work “well” for “most people”. We find this equipment to be wholly inadequate for today’s connected home. That’s why your local big-box retailer sells many varieties of “boosters”, “repeaters”, “extenders”, etc. Unfortunately, these are also inadequate, often make the problem worse, and are guaranteed to occupy at least a Saturday afternoon for DIY installation.

Our approach is simple. We follow the industry standards that have been in place since wifi was invented. You get the same fundamental design used for mission critical applications, such as healthcare, finance, or high-tech office buildings. This means a few things:

1) We provide equipment you will own (no more lease from the cable company)

2) The amount of equipment needed scales with the size of your property and your needs (there is no such thing as one-size-fits-all)

3) We do not “boost”. Each area desired coverage gets a full-speed node wired all the way back to the main service. You get the same blazing speed everywhere, not a “repeater” signal that degrades with distance.

4) Once deployed, we can monitor and tweak your performance remotely. Many service issues can be resolved instantly without a site visit.

5) We are fully licensed MA low voltage wiring contractors. If you have an older home that is under-wired, we will bring you up to date. We work CLEAN and we respect your property and your privacy.

6) Our systems are not cheap, but they are an extremely good value. Over the years we have experimented with virtually every product on the market, and have used that experience to find the best “bang for the buck” available.
